Angela Scanlon was born on 29 December 1983 in Ireland. She is best known in the UK as a reporter and stand-in presenter on the BBC’s The One Show, a role she has held since 2016. She also co-hosted Robot Wars alongside Dara Ó Briain between 2016 and 2018, and in 2023 appeared as a contestant on the twenty-first series of Strictly Come Dancing, partnered with professional dancer Carlos Gu.
